This is the major in vivo phosphorylation sites in Met. Phosphorylation of Y1356 inhibits phosphotransferase activity. Phosphorylation also induces molecular association with FAK, GAB1, GRB2, Met, PIK3C2A, PIK3R1, PLCG1, Ron, Shc1, SHIP2, SOS1 and Src.
