Scientific Background: TAO3 (MAP3K18, TAOK3) is a protein-serine/threonine kinase of the STE group and STE20 family. It is a cutaneous T-cell lymphoma-associated antigen. It also functions in the G2-M transition in response to DNA damage. Insertional mutagenesis studies in mice support a role for this protein kinase in mouse cancer oncogenesis.
